The short version: IGNITER has no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. What you do in the app stays on your device, except a first step you choose to send someone as a link.
What IGNITER stores
Your settings (like text size, colors, and session length), any prompts you write yourself, which prompts you’ve recently seen so they don’t repeat, which prompts tended to get you started (so they come up a little more often), and an unfinished session so the timer survives a refresh. These live in your browser’s local storage on your own device. We never receive them.
Sending a first step to someone
When you write a first step for someone, the words, the first name you give, and the state you chose are packed inside the link itself. They aren’t sent to us or stored anywhere else, but anyone who has the link can read them, so share it the way you’d share a message. You never learn whether the person kept or used it.
What IGNITER doesn’t collect
No name, email, location, contacts, tasks, moods, or usage statistics. There are no tracking cookies.
Services the app relies on
- Hosting. The company that hosts this website keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and time of visit) for security and reliability.
- Fonts. The app’s typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts are fetched. See Google’s privacy policy for details.
Deleting your data
Open IGNITER, tap the menu (···), then Clear IGNITER data on this device. Clearing your browser’s site data or removing the app does the same.
Health information
IGNITER is a self-management and wellbeing tool. It is not a medical treatment, diagnostic tool, or replacement for professional mental health care. If you’re struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a health professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
